Southwest General Hospital, a Steward Family Hospital, has named Brian Lidiak as hospital President. Lidiak previously served as President of the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Beaumont, Tx which is also a Steward Family Hospital.
Lidiak brings more than 20 years of executive hospital leadership with him to Southwest General Hospital. Prior to joining Steward, Lidiak spent 10 years serving as the Chief Operating Officer for Seton Medical Center Williamson as well as Baylor Scott & White Medical Center; both located in Round Rock, TX. Prior to relocating to Central Texas, Lidiak spent 10 years with HCA Healthcare serving as the Chief Operating Officer for Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas; and Baptist-Lutheran Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

Lidiak received his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University and earned a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from Washington University’s School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. He will succeed Craig Desmond, who has accepted an offer to become the new president of the Medical Center of Southeast Texas.
